Our Key Ingredients

Our Key Ingredients

At The Nature Clinic, all of our ingredients have one thing in common; they are 100% Natural, Ethically Sourced and Cruelty Free, always.

We believe in the importance of knowing what ingredients are coming into contact with your skin, and so, here's a list of our key, and most common ingredients, so you can self-care with one less worry!

Our Carrier Oils:

Jojoba - Jojoba Oil is actually a very thin wax that mimics the sebum produced in our skin naturally. It's moisturizing, balances sebum production and speeds up healing. It is safe for daily use, suitable for all skin types, hypoallergenic and has anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant properties.

Sweet Almond - Sweet Almond Oil protects the skin from UV radiation damage, and helps your skin look smooth, soft, and free of fine lines. The fatty acids help your skin retain moisture and work to heal irritated skin. Plus, the vitamin A helps to reduce acne and scarring!

Grapeseed -  Grapeseed Oil helps to strengthen the skin's barrier, reducing redness and inflammation caused by breakouts

Vitamin E - Vitamin E is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, with fat-soluble properties allowing for quick absorption. Vitamin E helps the skin lock in moisture, promotes the production of collagen and protects the cells against damage.

Our Essential Oils:

Rosemary - As well as deep moisturising and hair growth properties, Rosemary Oil helps to lower inflammation, improves circulation and reduces pain. Rosemary Oil used in combination with citrus and mint Oils helps to improve concentration and memory.

Peppermint - Peppermint soothes irritation, lowers inflammation and has a cooling effect on the skin. It awakens the mind, aiding in periods of deep focus. It also improves circulation, leading to better skin and hair health.

Lavender -  Lavender Oil promotes deep relaxation, and, when combined with other therapies, helps in the treatment of anxiety, depression and insomnia. It also works to sooth skin irritations such as eczema, and helps to calm nausea, and menstrual cramps. With its anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antimicrobial and detoxifying benefits, lavender essential oil can help reduce redness, soothe and calm the skin and rapidly heal minor cuts and scrapes, including minor burns and rashes.

Jasmine - Jasmine, like Lavender, is a natural sedative, calming both the mind and body. It brings out positive and constructive emotions, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Jasmine Oil has antiseptic properties, which makes it perfect for controlling breakouts. It improves dryness, balances oil production in the skin, prevents wrinkles and fine lines, and calms shaving sensitivity.

Ylang Ylang - Ylang Ylang Oil is best known for its ability to balance oil production in the skin, helping to prevent excessive oil and dryness. It soothes inflammation and irritation whilst strengthening skin and hair, and helps to improve mood, lowering stress levels, anxiety and depression.

Sweet Orange - The Vitamin C within Sweet Orange Oil helps to reduce dark spots and blemishes whilst promoting cell growth and collagen production. The antibacterial properties help to control acne and breakouts whilst astringent properties shrink large pores, reduce fine lines and firms the skin.

Grapefruit - Grapefruit Oil, much like Sweet Orange, is an astringent that purifies the skin, regulates sebum production, tightens pores, and keeps the skin calm and balanced. As an anti-inflammatory, Grapefruit Oil also helps to calm redness and irritation of the skin while its antimicrobial and antibacterial properties means it works to reduce acne and control breakouts.

Cinnamon - The anti-rheumatic properties found in Cinnamon Oil helps to reduce joint and muscle pain as well as calm menstrual cramps. It is also used to reduce symptoms of colds and flu, fatigue and depression as well as improving blood flow. Its antiseptic properties help to clear acne and improve skin tone.

Frankincense - With powerful anti-inflammatory properties, Frankincense Essential Oil is an effective natural remedy to calm joint and muscle pain. For irritated or damaged skin, Frankincense Oil restores, strengthens and calms the epidermis.

Ginger - Ginger's warming effect makes it the perfect Oil for soothing any aches and pains. It enhances concentration whilst also reducing feelings of stress, lethargy, agitation and fatigue. Used topically, Ginger Essential Oil soothes redness, eliminates bacteria, reduces the signs of skin damage and aging, and restores a dull complexion.

Rose - Rose, a natural aphrodisiac, relieves stress and anxiety by promoting feelings of confidence, love and trust. Rose reduces inflammation, and has antimicrobial properties. When applied topically, it can help to purify the complexion and boost skin health.
